Job Summary:

The General Mall Manager under the supervision of the Director of Operations for PBDC will be responsible for the overall operations of Otineka Development Corporation and is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the mall, maintain each department for efficiency and controls, overall maintenance of the establishment, and supervision and training of employees.  The Otineka Development Corporation General Manager will provide high level service and ensure property management duties are met.   Ensure property management duties are met. Total operations of the building; Financially, controlling, yearly operating plans & supervision of the supervisors and staff.  Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to the Director of Operations.  Budgets; assist in preparation and ensuring the budget is implemented throughout the year.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Assisting with retail and office lease documents
  • Prepare and presents monthly written/electronic status report at the Retail Managers meetings and provide copy to Director of Operations.
  • Supporting the supervisors with any staffing, security and HR issues that arise;
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the maintenance of Otineka Mall of its condition and visual standards
  • Supervise and direct staff with high industry standards of the operations
  • Negotiate terms on existing and new tenant leases
  • Preparing annual budget, operational and capital plans and participates in annual corporate planning.
  • Ensures business is in line with the overall Corporate Strategic plan; reviewed with Director of Operations, quarterly
  • Assist in the development of communication and working relationship with internal and external organizations
  • Review financial controls and analyze monthly financial statements, with short- & long-term obligations

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Administration and/or Office Administration
  • Designation in Property Management, preferred
  • Diploma – Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Combinations of educations & experience may be considered
